The app

Document Scanner is a tool for photographing paper and turning it into pages you keep, search, share and back up. Scanning, cleaning, search, categories, locks, reminders, PDF export, ID card mode and backup to your own Google Drive are free. Assist, the feature that reads your pages with an AI model, includes a limited number of actions a month for free and is unlimited with Premium.

Your documents

Everything you scan is yours. I claim no rights over it, and the app stores it on your phone and, if you turn backup on, in your own Google Drive. You are responsible for what you scan and share; do not use the app to copy material you have no right to copy.

Premium and Remove ads

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, annual or monthly, sold through Google Play or the App Store at the price shown in the app before you buy. It renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, in the store's subscription settings; cancelling keeps Premium until the period you paid for is over. Remove ads is a one-time purchase. Refunds are handled by the store under its policy. A Premium subscription is tied to the Google or Apple account you sign in with, and restores on any phone signed in with that account.

Premium removes the monthly limit on Assist. It does not promise that Assist is always available: it depends on a network connection and on a model provider, and when either is down the app says so and the action is not charged against your allowance.

Assist

Assist produces summaries, answers, tables and translations from your pages using an AI model. It can be wrong. Every answer cites the page it came from so you can check it, and the app says so beside each one. Do not rely on an Assist answer for a legal, medical, financial or safety decision without reading the page yourself.

Advertising

The free version shows one banner advertisement in the library. Advertisements come from Google AdMob and I do not choose or endorse them. Premium and Remove ads both remove the banner.

Fair use

Do not reverse-engineer the app's service, share one purchase between accounts, or send the service anything other than what the app sends. Assist's free allowance is per account, and the service may refuse accounts that abuse it.

No warranty, limited liability

The app is provided as it is. I work to keep your documents safe, and the app never deletes a document without moving it to Recently deleted first, but I cannot promise it is free of faults, and I am not liable for lost documents, lost time or any indirect loss arising from its use, to the extent the law allows. Where the law gives you rights that cannot be limited, such as consumer rights in the European Union, those rights apply.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the new version is published here with a new effective date, and the app links to it. Continuing to use the app after that is agreement to the new terms. Questions go to ceo@wazeem.com.
